How to Prepare for NMAT?

A common question among aspirants is how to prepare for NMAT. Every entrance exam has different components, and each aspirant wants to prepare in their best capacity for the exam. The aim for the candidates is to score the best results to ensure their vision in some of the most deserving colleges. We will look at some points that can help them to streamline their NMAT preparation and also work on their skills.

In order to prepare holistically for the Language Skills section, aspirants need to understand what the section really demands. As the name itself suggests, it’s important for them to have knowledge about the English language. There are three basic components into which they can divide the language, which are vocabulary, grammar and comprehension.

They need to work upon all these three skills in order to master good scores in this section. It is necessary for them to go through different reading comprehension passages that will allow them to skim through longer texts in a shorter period of time. They can also revise different concepts related to grammar while reading and enhance their vocabulary.

The Logical Reasoning section will require a good command over verbal and analytical skills. Aspirants will have to identify various patterns and also apply their reasoning skills to different questions. This can be a time-consuming section, and to save a sectional time limit, it is necessary for candidates to read and comprehend the question fast. This will only happen when they practice a lot of mock test papers and questions related to logical reasoning.

The Quantitative Skills section is entirely based on Mathematics. There are wide-ranging topics including Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry and Modern Math. It requires the aspirants to go back and revise mathematics from Class 8 to Class 10. The level of questions will be advanced and tough, but the conceptual clarity that they require can be gained from those textbooks. They also need to look out for different questions that will allow them to apply the concepts that they have learned. The diversity of different questions will help them to be quick in their calculations and also apply different tricks and approximations.
